01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

Past the alleys of Yanaka, Buzzed Lamb Brewing pours fresh, house-crafted beer in a setting that retains the weathered charm of an older building. Brewed directly on the premises, the rotating tap list highlights distinct, well-defined profiles, from fruit-forward IPAs with pronounced aromatics to a crisp stout accented by raspberry. With playful names such as "Nangoku 777" and "Meeerci Cherry Pie," finding the right glass is an engaging process, and visitors can easily consult the staff about flavor profiles and aromatic preferences.

Signature Lamb Gyoza and Thoughtful Small Plates

To pair with the beer, the signature lamb gyoza have earned a loyal following. The filling delivers the deep, distinctive richness of lamb, which comes alive when eaten simply with salt—available upon request from the staff—standing up cleanly to the hops and bitterness in each brew. The kitchen also turns out a thoughtful lineup of small plates and fuller dishes, including gizzard confit, Segovia-style mushrooms, crisp herb-seasoned fried chicken, Japanese-style potato salad, and wagyu Bolognese.

A Restful Two-Story Layout in a Former Merchant House

Retaining the architectural feel of a traditional home and old merchant shop, the space features counter seating facing the brewing equipment and small tables on floor 1, making it an easy stop for 1 drink. Up the stairs, floor 2 opens into relaxed table seating and a tatami area where guests can settle in and converse with close companions. From 1 refreshing daytime glass while wandering the neighborhood to a leisurely evening over food and pints, the brewery offers a calm, characteristically Yanaka setting to enjoy craft beer.
